Hello there! My name is Kay Earl and I am a Civil Marriage Celebrant living just outside of the vibrant city of Cairns. How wonderful that you have now found your partner for life and you wish to marry, renew your Vows or commit yourselves totally to one another in the beautiful surrounds of Cairns or Port Douglas. You really have picked the BEST place in the world to celebrate your union. There is so much to see and do here. It is safe, beautiful and once visited, you will want to return. So do plan on just more than three or four days if you are visiting.

I would be delighted to officiate for you at this most precious event, and offer wonderful, individual ideas to celebrate and remember your ceremony for always. Your personal input is vital to make this ceremony a personal magic moment of your life. But it is also important that your guests feel as though they are the most important people in your lives at this time, so I include your guests in my address as well and do encourage you to invite them to be a part of the ceremony. One or two guests can always be asked to do a Reading for example.

As a full-time celebrant, appointed in 1995, I am absolutely committed to my profession, am a Celebrant Networking convenor for Nth Qld., a Justice of the Peace, and well versed in all facets of marriage formalities and law and have celebrated wedding ceremonies with over 2300 couples, many of whom I am still in touch with. Not only have I worked in North Queensland, but also have been invited to officiate at weddings and even a Naming in places such as the Blue Mountains of NSW, Sydney, Brisbane and Fraser Island, so it has been an enormous thrill for me to be in a position to do this.

VENUES

Besides the ocean at sunrise or sunset, beneath the spreading branches of the Rainforest canopy, in the historic non-denominational little wooden Chapel of “St. Mary's by the Sea” in Port Douglas, the natural bush setting of Kuranda’s Cedar Park, which is on the banks of a pretty little rainforested creek where native animals wander at will, at the world renowned Cairns Botanic Gardens in all its tropical and exotic beauty, or even in the privacy of your own garden.

There are some wonderful B&B's in tropical settings either beside the sea or in or near the rainforest.
Be it a spiritual choice, a formal occasion, or a simple and intimate experience in a natural setting, let your creativity decide your day with my help.

CEREMONIES

I offer a large range of Vows, Ring Giving words and Readings for you to choose from, or you may even be inspired to write your own using mine as a guide. Whatever your choices, I strive to make it personal and very relevant to you two. To achieve this I write most of the ceremony myself once we have made contact whether it is by personal meetings, email or phone. By that stage you would have shared a little of your lives with me, which I always consider a great privilege. Your Ceremony, be it intimate with just the two of you or with a larger number of guests, is treated with dignity, care, understanding and complete confidentiality. But it is SO important that we work towards a ceremony where you are relaxed and have plenty of moments for smiles and hugs. Remember – don’t think “Nervous”, think “Excited”.

WEDDING ARRANGEMENTS

If you are coming to North Queensland independently and/or on a Budget, and don't have a wedding venue coordinator or travel agent to help you, and need advice or wish to make your own arrangements, I offer a "Self-Help" attachment that I can email to you.

As Marriage Celebrants are appointed by the Attorney-General, they are not to be affiliated with other wedding related businesses, so therefore the attachment comprises a number of choices in each category (if you require these) of accommodation (Resorts and B&B's to Backpackers), Hair stylists, Photographers, Florists etc., plus places to dine, Markets and things to see that I would take my friends to. This allows you to "do your own thing".
